The lapping and treatment line involves a surface polishing process in which more or less shiny finishes are obtained, both on glazed surfaces and on technical porcelain. The lapping and treatment line uses a surface grinding process that significantly improves the aesthetic appearance of the finished product.
For large sizes, BMR recommends that pre-grinding be carried out at the inlet to the line in order to establish the geometry of the tile.
After lapping, the tile has to be treated in order to protect the lapped surface from stains or dirt. To do this, BMR has developed three lines for applying protective products that differ according to the customer’s requirements.
