24 August 2011 | News | Commercial News

BMR, a worldwide leader in end-of-line technologies for the production of ceramic tiles, further consolidates its standing in the Polish tile manufacturing industry, which is one of the most important in Europe. The company from Scandiano, which is about to celebrate 40 years of business, has signed important contracts worth 3.3 million euro.

BMR recently installed a new honing, strip-cutting and squaring line at Nowa Gala – a tile manufacturer in Konskie, which was established in 1995. The plant comprises a gauging machine with swinging rollers and planetary gear, a honing machine with 20+20 heads and a squaring-chamfering machine. The line makes its mark thanks to the innovative BMR technology, allowing it to work totally operator-free in all the handling activities throughout the entire grinding process. This important supply follows that fulfilled in 2005, when BMR installed the first Cut Crash-Squadra-Tucano line for engraving-cutting mosaic tiles measuring 2.5×2.5 cm and for sizes from 60×60 cm to skirting board tiles 6×20 cm.
During the same months, BMR consolidated its historical partnership with Valdi Ceramica, a successful business with headquarters in Staporkow in the Polish district of Konskie, which recently inaugurated a new factory capable of producing 4 million m² of top quality porcelain stoneware tiles per year. The new plant, which has been up and running since the beginning of 2011, avails of BMR Clean machinery for the protective treatment of honed porcelain tiles. The two companies have been working together since 2008, the year in which the Polish company was founded, when a Cut Crash-Squadra line was installed for large sizes 120×120 cm, integrated one year later with a honing and squaring line. In 2010, BMR intervened again with another Cut Crash-Squadra-Tucano-Multiblade line for the special pieces department, installing a strip engraving- cutting line with grinding and rounding of the skirting board edge with cascade processing method. Furthermore, the company supplied a disc-cutting line for ground mosaic pieces and accessory machines, as well as a recycling system of the waste water.
