BMR USA FURTHER CONSOLIDATES ITS PRESENCE OVERSEAS

Since opening its first office in Dickson and moving to Crossville, BMR has extended its services

and its offer for finishing processes.

With BMR, American companies can rely on an increasingly powerful partner in the field of end-of-line processes and associated technical support and after-sales services. After opening its first branch in Dickson in 2016, BMR has expanded and has moved its American headquarters to Crossville, still in the heart of the Tennessee ceramics valley, where a squaring spindle and polishing head reconditioning department has been set up.

These are important developments that enable us to offer an important service, which until now

has not been possible because of prohibitive transport costs, and manage customers’ requests by providing a focused and prompt advice, delivering the made in Italy quality that BMR has always guaranteed.

In fact, the main ceramics companies in America have appreciated the added value that the

American branch offers to the quality of BMR finishing processes, consolidating links with the

company even further.

One example is Florim, which has installed a full-width lapping and stain-proofing treatment line with LevigaPlus and Supershine technology at its production facility in Clarksville – Tennessee.

The line is completed with a cutting and squaring line that uses Dry Cut and Top Squadra Dry machines. The plant is dedicated to the production of tiles ranging from 145×1200 mm to 1200×1200 mm.

Stonepeak Ceramics, one of the main ceramics manufacturing companies in the USA with its headquarters in Crossville, has also confirmed the value of BMR by choosing BMR end of line technologies for its facilities. Specifically, it has installed a “Top Squadra Dry” dry cutting-rectifying

line complete with a dry technology incision cutting disc machine to obtain maximum sizes of

1200×1200 mm and sub-sizes of 150×1200 mm.

From the end of April, there will also be three finishing lines in use consisting of two squaring lines and one lapping line with a Top Coat and acid-proofing treatment station. All this equipment is specifically for large 1600×3200 mm slabs.

The two squaring lines are equipped with transverse and longitudinal cutting machines, also to be used for cutting strips.

StonePeak is therefore one of the American pioneers in the large slab sector. Their choice of BMR as a technological partner is an important plus for the Scandiano-based company that has always made research, production quality and customer care the cornerstones of its philosophy.

The success of large sizes, in fact, has characterized the development and the adaptation of finishing processes towards the new requirements, which sizes of up to 1600×3200 mm involve.

BMR has responded by paying particular attention to production requirements and has implemented the technology of its machinery to enable companies to have the right solution in terms of machinery and equipment, thereby confirming – if not improving – the quality of the process and therefore the product.

The supply of the first lines for large slabs to the American market further confirms BMR’s approach, and above all its mission, which places the customer, his ambitions and his satisfaction at the centre of its business.
