BMR, new industrial building in Schio (VI): commitment to technological investments in Italy continues.

BMR continues to strengthen its commitment to the Italian territory, demonstrating an ambitious vision towards technological innovation and in-house production, without resorting to outsourcing.

In April 2024, the company completed a strategic investment of over 10 million euros to build a new industrial building in Schio (VI). This new facility, designed to meet growing production demands, represents a crucial step forward for BMR, which was already operating in the area with a plant dedicated to the production of machinery for lapping and surface treatment of ceramic slabs. That plant had become insufficient for the company’s new goals.

The new site covers a total area of 17,000 square meters, with 7,000 square meters occupied by the modern industrial facility. Of these, 6,000 are dedicated to production, while 1,000 are for offices, designed to optimize operational efficiency. The cutting-edge facility is equipped with the latest technologies to manage the entire production cycle, from design to the manufacture of BMR-branded machinery.

A strong emphasis has been placed on energy efficiency and workplace comfort: the facility is equipped with heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, along with a photovoltaic system, reflecting the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability. Another significant aspect of this project is the involvement of 50 local companies in the construction of the plant, demonstrating BMR’s strong connection to the region. Currently, the new plant employs more than 30 local workers and exclusively uses Italian materials, with a preference for those sourced from the local district.

BMR, an international leader for over half a century in the design and production of machinery and technologies for the complete end-of-line process in the ceramic sector, reaffirms its roots in Italy by continuing to invest in the country and enhancing the local industrial heritage.

Paolo Mongardi, President of BMR, firmly states that the SACMI Group is determined to maintain its role of excellence in Made in Italy, continuing with strategic and targeted investments in the sector and in our country.

BMR’s CEO, Giovanni Lancieri, highlights that BMR technologies are not only at the forefront of digital innovation but are also synonymous with the highest quality, thanks to a fully Italian production process and rigorous controls that ensure excellent performance in ceramic plants.
